For the impending grand-opening of JUICE’s latest retail venture in Malaysia’s Kuala Lumpur, JUICE’s affiliated brand CLOT brings two exclusive products to the fold presented here. With a June 20th opening set to feature the likes of CLOT founder’s Kevin Poon and Edison Chen as well as JUICE partner Edwin Choong and Subcrew’s Sam Lee, the event will bring a new dimension to the Bangsar district of KL. The exclusive items include a t-shirt with a pixelated image of the iconic Michael Jackson and a mesh cap bearing the CLOT logo…. adapted from hypebeast

The mesh cap is very limited and only less than 30 pieces were sold to the public on the opening day. The price of the sold-out cap was resold at as high as RM800 on that day itself, as reported in Sin Chew Daily.

The t-shirt was released a week before the death of the King of Pop.

On an interview with hypebeast about the Michael Jackson tee,

Could you go into detail about some of the exclusive products that are dropping for the launch of the store? What does the censored image of Michael Jackson represent?

Well, basically it is a part of the playful level in the Spring/Summer CLOTone series. The pixelated graphics are kind of about perspective and relation to where you stand and how you see different things. We chose a few people to represent this that many people have different views on… Princess Di, MJ, Obama, Jesus, Mao. If you are far away you see a clear image, if you are close you see obscure pixelated images. This tee is about perspective and also a fun go at some of the icons we feel at CLOT represent the time and condition of the era we live in. All in all, life is all about perspectives, it’s where you choose to stand and what you represent that affects the way you react or analyze things.

Nike Sportswear and Grammy award winning recording artist Kanye West present the highly anticipated Nike Air Yeezy sneaker in Spring 2009.

The shoe, which takes West’s nickname Yeezy, draws upon the innovations from Nike’s rich sporting history and fuses them with original lines, materials, and design elements that reflect West’s unique style.

The Air Yeezy was developed from a strong relationship between West and Nike. Partnering with Nike Creative Director, Mark Smith, Kanye was taken through the product creation process, the same way athletes have with Nike Design for the past 37 years. This creative partnership of Smith and West’s talents as designers yielded a unique Nike Sportswear sneaker worth the wait. “Kanye is a truly creative talent,” said Smith. “He’s a natural designer—partnerships like this always enhance the creative experience and the end product.” West agrees that the partnership with Nike has been exciting. “Nike is such an important brand to me,” said West. “Whether you are on the court, in the street, in the club, at school, Nike represents excellence, the standard in design. The year’s sneaker must have - the Nike Air Yeezy - dropped at Sole What and 14 lucky people got to go home with a pair. The lucky ones were decided via a lucky draw. Yup - that’s how hot the Yeezy is. The Nike Air Yeezy, as you probably already know, is the result of a collabo between Kanye West and Nike.
